What Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban Tell the Kids When They Want to Have Sex

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban know sex is an important part of a marriage.

They also know that when you have young children, finding a way to, um, fit it in, can be hard.

During an interview with The Moms' Denise Albert and Melissa Musen Gerstein earlier this week, Kidman said she and Urban simply tell their daughters when they need some alone time.

"[We tell them] Mommy and Daddy need to have kissy-kissy time," Kidman said, referring to the couple's daughters, 8-year-old Sunday Rose and 6-year-old Faith Margaret.

Note: Good luck not thinking about the sex code word your parents used when you were a kid.

Gross.

But with a Golden Globe nomination for Kidman's role in the film Lion, a television show coming to HBO, a country music tour, and three Grammy nominations between them, Kidman and Urban don't really have time to mask the subject more than that.

Earlier this year, Entertainment Tonight asked Urban how he keeps the spark alive in his marriage.

"Dating. Keep dating your wife—that's it," Urban said. "I'm still trying to get her to go out with me."

So there you have it. The secret to a successful decade-long Hollywood marriage: kid-friendly sex code words for mommy-daddy time, and dating.
