So my editor asked me to write about singer Pink (or P!nk if you're into that sort of thing) and her latest Instagram post because the internet seems to be losing their minds over how low to the ground her microwave is.

The pregnant singer of her sitting on the floor in front of her microwave  with the caption, "When microwaving your decaf coffee becomes an excuse to sit on the floor and rest for a while.... #help #reststop#illjustbehereifyouneedme"

The Instagram which has over 99,000 likes also has a comment section with over 1000 comments mostly remarking upon how strange it is to have a microwave that low and therefore making me self conscious.

"I couldn't have my microwave that low, drive me nuts lol......love u hunny" writes one commenter.

"WHHHHHHY is your microwave so low ?!" asks another.

"A microwave under the counter?? That's dumb.." remarks another.

I am very confused by this because my microwave is in pretty much exactly the same position.

AM I NOT NORMAL?

Wait.

ARE PINK/P!NK AND I NOT NORMAL?

Wait.

SHOULD I CHANGE MY NAME TO SARA/S@R@?!

Apparently the answer to all of those questions is yes.

But I like having my microwave low. It's out of sight which means I actually cook dinner more because it's easier to forget I even have one in the first place. Plus with it tucked out of the way I have so much more counter space.

I looked around and as long as the area is properly ventilated there is no reason at all not to move your microwave off your counter.

So I'm going to listen to Pink. She once told me (okay it was her song "Fuckin' Perfect" but she could have been singing to me), "Pretty, pretty, please, don't you ever, ever feel like you're less than fucking perfect".

So with that in mind I am now officially declaring the low microwave fuckin' perfect as well.
